Welcome to Creation News

In Creation News, we tackle some of the difficult barriers that can confront people when reading the Book of Genesis. Many find it hard to comprehend the descriptions laid out in the first few pages of the Bible, especially as we are conventionally taught that the Big Bang happened around 13 billion years ago. The Earth formed 4.6 billion years ago and gave rise to life. Life on Earth then followed the path of evolution. Is a theory of creation a viable option, or can we only have a theory of evolution?

Christianity encourages us to believe an all-powerful God created everything within a pretty rapid and neat succession of events. This is at odds with the principle of the universe exploding onto the scene from nothing, with the Earth accidentally being formed over billions of years. So are we here because of a Big Bang or because of God? Was all life created ready-made or did life advance through evolution.

It is no wonder that there are plenty of books available discussing Bible difficulties. In addition, if you go to the library and meander through the section dedicated to the origins of the cosmos, you will only find books on the Big Bang and evolution, there will be none on creation and certainly not a Bible. If you are finding Genesis and the whole subject of creation theory quite difficult, or perhaps just fascinating, we hope you will join us on an exciting journey through time and space.

These articles are for anyone who is interested in our origins and our cosmos. Creation News is written from a Christian perspective, nevertheless, they can be a good read also to those of any or indeed no religious outlook. We look at the age-old question, how did we get here and why? To that end, it is probably best to purchase newsletters in sequence, rather than jumping to a particular one. In skipping an issue, you may miss out on some interesting hypothesis or misunderstand how ideas may have developed within our articles.

It is not our intention to relax amid easy answers. If we are told God said something then we will seek out the truth of it. Did He really say it? Does He exist in the first place? Alternatively, did the Big Bang really happen? Was there a time when there was…no time? What started evolution? What started creation? What started God? If evolution is true, where is evolution happening now? If creation is true, what is being created now? If God exists, what is He up to now?
